Meet The Candidate

Kerry-Lynne Findlay P.C., Q.C.

Kerry-Lynne grew up primarily on Vancouver Island and started UBC at age 16. After completing 7 years of study at UBC where she was President of her AGD Sorority Chapter, Kerry-Lynne practiced law throughout the Lower Mainland primarily in civil litigation, family law, aboriginal land issues, and mediation. She currently practices in these same areas, serving clients in the riding, elsewhere in Surrey, Delta, Richmond and Vancouver. She was appointed a Queen's Counsel in 1999 after having served as the elected President of the 10,000 member BC Branch of the Canadian Bar Association.

Kerry-Lynne is Past President of the Little House Society, a house of support and healing for those touched by substance use disorder. She also serves as Treasurer of BC & Alberta Guide Dogs, providing service dogs to the blind, and support dogs to kids with autism and veterans with PTSD. In the past she has serverd as a provincially appointed member of the Delta Police Board, which serves to provide civilian governance, accountability and oversight to the Delta Police Department. She is an active member of the Surrey Board of Trade, the South Surrey White Rock Chamber of Commerce, Rotary International, (2018-19 President of her club), the BC India Business Network, and the Canadian Bar Association.

In 2011, Kerry-Lynne was elected as the Member of Parliament for Delta Richmond East, a riding that no longer exists.  She was appointed by Prime Minister Stephen Harper as Parliamentary Secretary to Justice, Associate Minister of National Defence, Minister of National Revenue, and as member of several high profile Cabinet committees including Treasury Board.

Kerry-Lynne is a married mother of four and grandmother of three small boys.  All four of Kerry-Lynne and Brent's children are UBC graduates.
