In May and June the South Surrey-White Rock EDA has been presenting the 2022 Sir John A. MacDonald Leadership Scholarship Award certificates and $1,000 cheques to local students.

On May 26 the Honourable Kerry-Lynne Findlay MP presented the certificates and cheques to students Elvis Lowapongpan and Magdalia Reyad at White Rock Christian Academy. On June 8 our President Paul Schwartz presented certificates and cheques to students Desiree Marno and Nicholas Sharifi at Earl Marriott Secondary School. On June 18 students Mavis Hao and Viabhav Ambastha from Semiahmoo Secondary School met with our board and received their awards from EDA scholarship chair Holly Scott. We were pleased to have Magdalia Reyad and her mother meet with us on June 18 as well.
